Wild beauty of the desert and mountains in this starlit tent-tastic adventure await you! Check out this five-day adventure through New Mexico and parts of Western Texas including exploring of the Carlsbad Caverns National Park, sledding on the White Sands National Park, Guadalupe Mountains National Park, fun at the Bottomless Lakes State Park, and the amazing starlit Greater Big Ben International Dark Sky Reserve at the McDonalds Observatory! Each starlit night, campers will enjoy tent camping and outdoor cooking which includes building fires, preparing meals, learning all about outdoor living, sunset walks, stargazing fun, campfire program, and more.
NOTE: Campers will be sleeping in a tent every night. Campers must be at least going into the 7th grade in the Fall (August 2026) and at least 12 years old at the time of this trip due to the high adventure quality of this trip. This trip includes travel in a van to each destination. This trip departs from Camp Kiwanis which is in Amarillo, Texas. Drop off and pick up will happen at Camp Kiwanis so please be aware of this when registering for this trip.
CampDoc Health Profiles including immunizations and physicals are
required for this travel trip.
Final payments and CampDoc
profiles must be completed no later than 1 month before the trip
begins. Registrations are subject to cancellation, with no refund, if
not complete.
