Ways to help during the Cookie Program
Whether you can spare a little or a lot of time, there is a place for you to help the troop.
Remember, when you help with your Girl Scout’s troop, you are not only doing her troop leader a favor, but you are also modeling leadership for your Girl Scout. She will be so proud to call you her parent/guardian.
Below are some ways you can help support the troop during the Cookie Program:
- Help transport Girl Scouts to/from booth sales.
- Be a runner at a booth (restroom breaks).
- Cookie supply runner (refill cookies at booths when they run out in middle of a shift).
- Pick up Troop Initial Cookie Order from delivery site.
- Pick up cookies for troop from Cupboard during the week.
- Help count and sort girls’ orders for pick up.
- Collect cookie money from parents during the meeting/other agreed location.
- Chaperone cookie booths with troop Girl Scouts.
- Volunteer to take the deposits to the bank every week.
- Pick up the booth and set it up or pick it up at the end of the booth and take it back to where cookies are stored.
- Gather Girl Scout orders every week by deadline day for Troop Cookie Chair.
- Plan an activity for your troop meeting.
- Volunteer to help with troop communications to Girl Scout families (via social media/text/email).
