A Girl Scout Troop is comprised of at least five registered girls and two registered adults. Troops can be formed in age groups or multiple levels, depending on what the leader and Troop members prefer.
At the Troop Level, volunteers are needed in a variety of roles including:
A Service Unit is comprised of a group of volunteers who offer support to Troops in a specific georgraphic location. Every Troop is part of a Service Unit.
Service Unit volunteers mentor adult volunteers as they work with Girl Scouts to create memories they will never forget.
Many service units also plan events for all of the Troops in their service unit.
GSTOP Advisory Committees are cross-functional groups of volunteers with various experiences and expertise that provide guidance and influence for girl programming, volunteer training, and events for Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains.
