Whether you're just starting out or you've cared for your siblings for years and now want to start earning money or even build a business, an American Red Cross Certification can help! By allowing you to demonstrate your skills to the families seeking your help, a Red Cross Babysitting Certification shows parents that you take your job seriously. In this training you will earn your babysitting certification from the American Red Cross which is valid for two years. This certification is created for both young babysitters and seasoned childcare professionals, best-in-class training, giving you the opportunity to sharpen your skills and become a safe, reliable babysitter. During your training, you can also earn your First Aid and CPR Certification (good for two years), which can help you learn how to provide care during an emergency. Please note: The Babysitter Certification and First Aid CPR Certification will be issued pending completion of the course and passing is ultimately up to the American Red Cross Course Provider. This certification requires an online course that must be completed before the in-person training begins. A link to the online training will be sent out to each participant one week prior to in-person training. Cadettes can purchase their babysitting badge at a shop near you! Please bring a bagged lunch. Parents are welcome to come sit in or assist with this class. Parents that stay must be registered Girl Scout adults, have a clear background check on file with Girl Scouts and have completed the youth protection training. SPECIAL THANK YOU to the CH Foundation for covering a portion of the fee to make this program in Lubbock for this fee of $20 per girl.
