Using Cookie Bucks for GSUSA Destinations
GSTOP Cookie Bucks may be used to cover 50% of the cost of a GSUSA Destinations trip. The other half of the trip, including transportation to and from the originating destination, is covered by the Girl Scout.
Cookie Bucks are earned based on the number of packages sold and can be used to pay for GSTOP summer resident and day camp, GSTOP Travel and partner travel programs, annual girl membership, or for merchandise in GSTOP retail shops.
How can Cookie Bucks be used?
Cookie Bucks can be used on GSTOP summer overnight and day camp, GSTOP travel, GSTOP travel through EF Tours, for Girl Membership Renewal, in the GSTOP Retail Shop, and for GSUSA Destinations. Once a Girl Scout has sold 150 cookie packages, she is eligible for Cookie Bucks based upon the number of cookie packages she sells during the year's cookie program.
How are Cookie Bucks valued?
Cookie Bucks have no cash value. If a girl sells a minimum of 150 cookie packages during the 2023 Cookie Season, she can use any remaining Cookie Bucks for Summer Adventure programs or to renew her Girl Scout membership.
Please refer to the retail section to view how Cookie Bucks are valued for use in GSTOP Retail Shops.
Can we transfer Cookie Bucks from one sister to another to help cover membership or activity fees?
Yes. Families may transfer Cookie Bucks from one sister to another for a one-time transfer to help cover membership and event fees; however, both sisters must have participated in the 2023 Girl Scout Cookie Program to be eligible for transfers.
Can my girl use Cookie Bucks for activities offered by outside program providers?
No, with one exception. Girls may use Cookie Bucks for programs offered at the STEM Center of Excellence in partnership with Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. (The Girl Scout must register through GSTOP.)
Can I renew my girl’s membership with Cookie Bucks?
Yes. When you register for 2024, there is an option to utilize your Cookie Bucks to pay for a girl's membership.
To qualify for this offer, your girl must:
Membership renewal is 50 cookie packages for the 2023-2024 membership year.
Can a troop leader use Cookie Bucks to renew a troop or pay for troop trips/activities?
No. Cookie Bucks are calculated per girl and cannot be used to renew a troop or for troop purchases.
Can Cookie Bucks be used for adult membership renewal or event fees?
No. Cookie Bucks are not applicable toward fees for adult participation in Girl Scout events or adult membership renewal.
How can my girl use her Cookie Bucks if she is in her last year of Girl Scouts?
Girl Scouts can use 400 cookie packages to pay for a lifetime membership if she is a graduating high school senior. Contact Customer Care at customercare@gs-top.org or 800.582.7272 for details.

If registration has already closed on the event you are currently signed up to attend, you will not be allowed to transfer Cookie Bucks.
