Celebrating: Women of Distinction in the Community

This annual event hosted by Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains honors women leaders who demonstrate strong initiative and personal leadership on issues relating to women and girls.

2014 Fort Worth Area Women of Distinction Luncheon

The Girl Scouts annual Women of Distinction program brings together and recognizes a group of purpose-driven, women leaders in business, government and philanthropy; who, like our girls, are dedicated to service and leadership.  Honorees do not need to be previous Girl Scouts, however a connection to Girl Scouts is recommended.  

Join us Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 11:30-1:00pm at Ridgley Country Club to honor:

Ticket Price: Individual Tickets $55; Table of 8: $1,000.
Proceeds from the Woman of Distinction luncheon support the Girl Scout leadership experience.

Lifetime Achievement Award: Given to honor extraordinary contributions to Girl Scouting or outstanding service to our community. 

Discover Award: The recipient helps others to discover and cultivate women leadership qualities. Honorees play a key role in assisting others discover their potential, but also set an example for others to follow.
 
Connect Award: Honoring women who create solutions to make the world a better place. The Connect Honoree demonstrates organizational skills, as well as the ability to recruit and motivate others to support philanthropic causes.
 
Take Action Award: Honors an outstanding corporate leader or woman from a business, civic organization, foundation, or service groups. The Take Action Honoree is a highly visible champion of existing or special projects that support the Girl Scout mission.
