Calling all future zoologists! 🐾 Grab your curiosity and get ready to investigate the animal kingdom! Girl Scouts will step into the role of zoologists as they learn how scientists observe, identify, classify, and study animals. Girls will explore the characteristics scientists use to organize animals into different groups and discover how careful observation can reveal clues about how an animal lives. Get an up-close look at animal skulls and other specimens while investigating features such as teeth, eye placement, skull shape, and structure. What can a skull tell us about what an animal eats? Can you determine whether an animal is a predator or prey? What clues help scientists identify an unknown species? Through hands-on activities and scientific observation, Girl Scouts will practice classification, comparison, identification, and evidence-based thinking while discovering what makes every animal unique. 🔎 Observe the clues. Examine the evidence. Classify the creatures. Think like a zoologist! Please note: there are two different sessions to choose from based on your age level. Time: Session One: 10am-11am Session Two: 2pm-3pm Age Level: Session One: DBJ, Session Two: CSA
Please continue through the registration process to see the cost of each session added to your cart. Each session cost is $10.00 per registrant.
