Get ready for a real-world treasure hunt! Juniors will learn the basics of geocaching, a fun outdoor activity that uses GPS coordinates and clues to find hidden caches, while working toward earning their Geocaching Badge. During this event, girls will: * Learn what geocaching is and how it works * Understand GPS coordinates and how to navigate using them * Practice geocaching etiquette and safety * Work in teams to search for and find geocaches * Record discoveries and complete Junior Geocaching Badge steps 🎖 Each girl will receive: * The Junior Geocaching Badge. Girls should wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes and be ready to explore, problem-solve, and have fun earning their Geocaching Badge! 🧭 Note: Safety Activity Checkpoint adult-to-youth ratios are required at this program as this is not a drop-off program. Adults must have a clear background check on file with Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains and have taken the Youth Protection and Child Abuse Prevention Training with Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains.
