What does it mean to take care of yourself, appreciate your body, and feel good about the messages you hear about food and health? Join Girl Scouts and Fuel Her for an interactive workshop designed especially for Brownies and Juniors. Girls will explore body appreciation, self-care, nourishment, and the power of using kind and supportive language when talking about themselves and others. Through age-appropriate activities and conversation, they'll also learn to recognize some of the messages they encounter in media and identify trusted adults they can turn to when they have questions about food, wellness, or their bodies. Fuel Her's founder will lead approximately 45 minutes of interactive activities and prevention-focused education, followed by a short general Q&A with a Registered Dietitian. Caregivers are encouraged, but not required, to register and participate. Girls will: * Explore ways to appreciate and care for their bodies. * Learn how food helps fuel their bodies for everyday activities. * Practice positive and supportive ways to talk about themselves and others. * Think critically about messages they may see or hear in media. * Identify trusted adults they can go to with questions about food, health, and wellness. Come ready to learn, talk, and discover ways to fuel your body and your confidence!
