Take an exciting journey with STEM the Gap Academy in this 2-hour workshop and work toward earning your Brownie Cybersecurity Safeguards and Cybersecurity Investigator badges. Designed with empowerment at its core, this experience helps girls build the confidence and awareness needed to move through digital spaces with clarity and intention. Participants will explore what it means to have a secure online identity and how everyday actions can protect or expose personal information. Through interactive challenges, they will learn how to recognise risks, make informed choices, and understand the impact of their digital behaviour. The focus is not just on what to do, but on helping girls understand why these decisions matter. The workshop brings cybersecurity to life through problem-solving. Girls will step into the role of investigators as they solve digital mysteries, analyse clues, track digital footprints, and explore how cyber attacks happen. These activities encourage logical thinking, attention to detail, and curiosity, helping participants approach challenges with confidence. A key part of the experience is helping girls see that they are capable of understanding and navigating technology. They are encouraged to ask questions, trust their thinking, and take ownership of their online presence. This builds a sense of independence that extends beyond the session.
