Cabin Camping Training prepares volunteers to safely plan and lead overnight Girl Scout experiences in a cabin or other established camping facility. Participants will learn the essentials of trip planning, cabin setup and organization, outdoor cooking, fire safety, Leave No Trace principles, risk management, and creating meaningful, girl-led outdoor experiences.
Participants will gain the confidence to lead cabin camping trips while following GSUSA Safety Activity Checkpoints and council policies. This training helps volunteers create opportunities for girls to build independence, teamwork, resilience, and confidence in an outdoor setting.
