Cabin & Tent Camping Training prepares volunteers to safely plan and lead overnight camping experiences for Girl Scouts. Whether you're staying in a cabin or pitching tents, this course covers the essentials of trip planning, campsite setup, outdoor cooking, Leave No Trace principles, fire safety, risk management, and creating meaningful, girl-led outdoor experiences.
Participants will gain the confidence to lead overnight camping trips while following GSUSA Safety Activity Checkpoints and council policies. This training is required for volunteers who plan to take troops on overnight cabin or tent camping experiences and is designed to help girls build independence, teamwork, resilience, and a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors.
