Dear GSTOP Families,
On behalf of all Texas Girl Scout
Councils, with heavy hearts, we join together in mourning the tragic
loss of life in Central Texas following the devastating flooding of
the Guadalupe River.
Among those lost were beloved
members of our Girl Scout sisterhood—bright, brave young girls who
embodied the very spirit of courage, confidence, and character. Our
hearts are broken alongside their families, friends, and the entire
community.
As recovery efforts continue and loved ones
remain unaccounted for, we stand with the entire region in hope,
grief, and solidarity.
As Girl Scouts, we are united not
only by mission but by an unshakable bond of sisterhood. Today, and in
the difficult days to come, we honor the lives of the Girl Scouts who
were taken far too soon and hold space for all who are grieving.
May their light forever shine in the lives they touched and the
trails they blazed.
For those looking for a way to give back to our Central Texas communities, please consider a monetary gift to these organizations or an organization important to you that serves the impacted area:
Sincerely,
Becky Burton
