The Volunteer Leadership Summit (VLS) is the leading educational event for current and emerging volunteers for Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains. VLS provides unique opportunities for networking and learning to prepare volunteers for the upcoming membership year. The summit is made possible through partnerships with GSTOP.

Chris joined GSUSA in 2018 to design and implement the national entrepreneurship strategy, including financial literacy and the iconic Girl Scout Cookie Program. In her current role, she leads GSUSA’s volunteer experience and program delivery team. Prior to joining GSUSA, Chris served as Senior Director of Program and Product Sales at Girl Scouts of Western Ohio, where she designed council-wide program resources, tools, and events for thousands of Girl Scouts and volunteers—and oversaw the implementation of the cookie program. She has been active in the Girl Scout Movement for nearly 18 years while also pursuing her own entrepreneurial endeavors. (Just for fun!) Chris is the proud mom of two Girl Scouts and knows the volunteer experience firsthand, as she leads both of their troops.
