Full-Time

Community Partnership Specialist - Bilingual (Fort Worth)

The Community Partnerships Specialist supports the Council's efforts in expanding opportunities for girls to participate in the Girl Scout Leadership Experience through community-based, school based, and youth-centered partnerships. Oversees the program and community partnership staff/volunteers assigned to each funded location. This includes maintaining current partnerships, building new partnerships, recruiting new sites.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in adult learning theory, adult literature, popular culture and best practices for serving adults. They will also be adept at public speaking, comfortable with technology, possess excellent time management and communication skills, and enjoy working with adults and Girls of all ages, backgrounds, dispositions, and abilities. The Community Partnerships Specialist is responsible for being part of a cross-functional team focused on growing and supporting Girl Scout membership throughout the council region. Controller (Fort Worth)

The Controller is responsible for ensuring the fiscal function of the council is in accordance with generally accepted accounting and financial principles and regulations. The Controller supports the Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer (EVP/CFO) in ensuring that resource allocation and utilization reflects and facilitates the achievement of Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains (GSTOP) strategic direction and annual plan of work. The priorities include leadership and a commitment to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and access to ensure delivery of the best quality Girl Scout leadership experience for girls.

The Controller manages the financial day-to-day operations of GSTOP efficiently and effectively by establishing, monitoring, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed. The Controller works with the EVP/CFO and the leadership teams to develop the councils budget; administers and monitors operating plans and budgets; in partnership with the EVP/CFO maintains control of the councils finances; manages the councils assets, accounts, and all financial records; prepares and issues reports as requested; oversees facility insurance and works with the Human Resources department to coordinate the payroll and benefit functions including workers compensation. The Controller contributes to the overall financial policy development of the Council and manages the financial interface of several systems such as: Abila, Paylocity, Salesforce, Donor Perfect and Retail Management Systems (RMS).

Customer Experience Retail Coordinator (Lubbock)

The Customer Experience Retail Coordinator (CERC) will build relationships with Girl Scout volunteers and parents in their community, working to provide excellent customer service in person, over the phone and by email. The CERC will implement the day-to-day operations of the Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains (GSTOP) and council shops located in Lubbock, including selling merchandise, monitoring, and evaluating inventory stock levels, and placing orders to ensure adequate merchandise supply is available. The CERC will also creatively and pro-actively work to meet the needs of customers via pop-up shops at programs, registration, and renewal support at membership events, and be a resource on all-things Girl Scouts. A portion of this role is daily use of Salesforce to maintain accurate customer records, complete detailed technical processes, and provide support to members. A desire to delight our customers is required. A faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position. Detail work is a major focus of this position, and details need to be handled quickly, correctly, and efficiently.

Outside Recruiter and Community Partnership Specialist (Abilene)

The Outside Recruiter/Community Partnership Specialist is responsible for developing and executing effective recruitment strategies to increase awareness of Girl Scouting and increases membership by securing new adult volunteers, new girl members, and community partnerships within assigned area. Responsible for providing and implementing quality programming to girl members in economically disadvantaged assigned areas.

Part-Time or Temporary

Recruiter - Temporary, Wichita Falls, TX

The Recruiter is responsible for executing recruitment strategies in the Wichita Falls area. The Recruiter will also increase awareness of Girl Scouting to grow adult and girl membership in the Wichita Falls area. The priorities also aim to include diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and access in the analysis to ensure delivery of the best quality Girl Scout leadership experience for girls.

In collaboration with the Recruitment Lead, the Recruiter will exercise discretion and judgement with respect to matters of significance.

This position is expected to last until April 2022 and work on average 20 hours per week.

Summer Camp Openings

GSTOP offers camp staffing opportunities at three camps during the summer.

Overnight camp  is located at Stevens Ranch in Nemo, TX.

Day Camp is located at Camp Timberlake in Azle, TX. 

Summer programming is located at Camp Kiwanis in Amarillo, TX.

Camp Director
