National DNA Day is an annual, global celebration of the discovery of the DNA double helix structure. The goal of National DNA Day is to offer students, teachers and the public an opportunity to learn about and celebrate the latest advances in genomic research and explore how those advances might impact their lives. National DNA Day is a global movement to mobilize, energize and empower communities, educators and students to innovate, collaborate and discover the promise of our shared humanity and connection to the natural world.
Lubbock and surrounding area high school students, parents, troop leaders and volunteers - this in-person STEM program with Texas Tech is just for you! The Early Dedication to Medical Education (EDME) is designed to expose individuals to the possibilities of a career in medicine.

EDME sessions will be held from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Please plan on arrive 10 minutes early to check-in with Council. Sessions will be held in-person at TTUHSC. Information regarding parking, address of building, location of classroom, etc., will be sent after registration closes. Adults, please escort and remain with your Girl Scout during this event.

Program is at NO COST to participants.

Parking: Parking is available in the visitor parking area (purple). If space fills up, please park in the red area marked D-3. Check out the parking map here:

Entrance: The building is badge access only. Please go to the doors located on the map above close to the "i" in "Academic Classroom Building." A medical student will let you inside.
