Virtual Youth Conference: "So You Want to Be a Medical Doctor?" 10/22/22
Juniors and Cadettes can complete steps 1, 2 and 3 for their STEM Career Exploration badge by attending the The ‘So You Want to be a Medical Doctor?’ Virtual Youth Conference. This special event is broken into three, 50 minute sections and divided into two cohorts - 4-6th grade and 7-12th. This virtual youth conference is an international early outreach medical physician pipeline program. Participants begin their day with a clinical simulation experience. Will you have the skills to assess your patient and figure out what they need in triage? Are you able to work in a team to treat your patient? The second session dives into the world of human anatomy, phsyiology by exploring the 12 body systems and learning about the different types of doctors and medical practices that treat these systems. Lastly, end your day with a live Q&A with current medical students, practicing physicians, scientists, school faculty and medical leaders. The world will never stop needing doctors. Will you be next in line to save lives?
