Amarillo Leaders to Receive Honors for Inspiring Girls

Amarillo Women of Distinction

Amarillo, TX—Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains will celebrate seven exceptional women and one exceptional man at the annual Women of Distinction event in August. These 2020 Women of Distinction award recipients have made significant contributions in key areas and serve as role models to the next generation of female leaders:

“Man Enough to be a Girl Scout” Honoree

The honorees, who are selected by a volunteer committee and represent a cross-section of the Amarillo community, will be celebrated at the Women of Distinction event on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at Tascosa Drive-In Theater  (gates open at 7:30pm and program begins at 8:45pm).

“Women of Distinction highlights the advancements of purpose-driven women and celebrates leaders in the workplace who are role models and empower the girls we serve," said Becky Burton, CEO for Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains. "This year’s honorees join more than 134 past recipients who inspire girls to find their voices through Girl Scouts."
