Volunteer in Training – Teen Mentoring Award
When girls guide or teach others, they act as mentors. Teen mentoring is a win–win proposition! One way a girl can be a teen mentor is to become a Volunteer in Training (ViT) to deepen her understanding of what leadership means and get excited about guiding others. While learning to be a champion mentor, girls deliver fun with purpose to younger Girl Scouts. Before girls attend this course, they must have mentored with a younger troop for at least three months.
