Handling a gun and good marksmanship, is that a goal of yours? Well, we are right on target with this event! Girl Scouts 12 and older, (no experience is necessary), can come to Defender Outdoors Shooting Center and enjoy 2 hours of fun doing the Youth Rifle Course. Good Marksmanship develops positive traits such as patience, discipline, determination, focus, attention to detail, and persistence. The course is designed to teach safe, responsible shooting and firearm skills to young shooters. They will focus on proper handling, storage, use and range safety of a firearm. During the live fire portion of the course, student will learn the proper fundamentals of rifle shooting and getting comfortable with their firearms. All equipment is included, (if you have your own .22LR pistol that you would like to bring, you may). To quote Safety Activity check points, “Learning to handle guns properly and safely is of paramount importance, as is the healthy respect girls will develop when properly trained in shooting sports.”
