How Girl Scouts Works
Most girls participate through a troop (though this isn't the only way your daughter can be a Girl Scout). Girl Scouts provides an environment that partners girls with caring adults so they can explore their world in a way that is exciting to them. We call this the "girl-led" approach.
Step 2: Join a troop.
From there a team of staff and volunteers work to find an appropriate troop based on age and location. This can take up to two weeks. If no troops are readily available, many parents will start a troop (5 girls and 2 un-related adults).
Step 3: Start meeting and have FUN!
