Fort Worth Zoo - Individual Troop Programs

Come to the Fort Worth Zoo to satisfy some of the requirements for your Journeys and badges, and setup a program that fits your troops needs!

Did you know that the Fort Worth Zoo is more than lions, tigers, and bears? The zoo offers programming on animals, plants, habitats, the outdoors, our environment, and much more. They can help your troop earn a variety of Journey Awards, Badges, and Fun Patches. Programming and events are designed just for your troop. You may schedule a 2-hour workshop or an overnight extravaganza. If you have a smaller troop, why not invite another troop to join you for a “Buddy” event at the zoo.

Here are some possible overnight badge work options:

Brownies – WOW! Wonders of Water – A World of Girls - Pets Badge – Bugs Badge – Hiker Badge

Juniors – Get Moving! – aMUSE - Animal Habitats Badge

Cadettes – Breathe! – Media – Animal Helpers Badge – Night Owl Badge

Seniors – Sow What? – Mission: Sisterhood – Voice for Animals Badge

Ambassadors – Your Voice, Your World – Justice

Overnight activities include a craft, live animal and biofact presentation, scavenger hunt, morning Zoo hike and all-day Zoo admission on Saturday. A pizza dinner, light evening snack and continental breakfast will be included. One adult chaperone is required for every six scouts.

Be sure to plan early and save your spot!
