Outdoor 101- Lubbock

This course is the prerequisite for all outdoor classes.  This class provides participants with the basic knowledge required to take girls camping.

Outdoor 101 is an introduction to camping and the outdoors.  It covers the basic outdoor skills as well as how to prepare to go camping and what to pack. It also introduces all participants to the properties available throughout the council which have troop camping available.  You are not ready to go camping yet.  Taking this course is a prerequisite to Cabin Camping which enables you to actually take your troop camping. This course is a 3 hour course and is located at the Lubbock Council Office . No childcare provided and you are welcome to bring your own dinner!
