New Member Orientation- Weatherford

  This class is required for all Troop Leaders and Co-Leaders.  This class provides new leaders with the basic information regarding the mission, purpose and history of Girl Scouts.  You will learn the parts of a Troop meeting, where to find resources for your troop, and how to guide a "Girl Led" troop.  After you complete this class, your Girl Scout adventure begins.

 

CARE Annual Celebration and Recognition Event -Fort Worth

This annual event highlights the accomplishments of those who give their time and support to Girl Scouting.  Refreshments will be served.

Outdoor 101- Weatherford

After this prerequisite for all outdoor classes, you will be able to identify the 8 Basic Outdoor Skills for example: Outdoor Manners (Leave No Trace), and Dressing for the Outdoors.  You will also learn about girl progression in the outdoors, "Look Out", "Meet Out" and other outdoor progression steps to prepare your girls for the world outdoors.  Safety procedures are also included in this training.   You will also learn what is offered at council Girl Scout camps and other places to camp.

 

Dallas Mavericks Girl Scout Night!

Ticket prices rang form $16 - $70 and with an optional $10 dance lesson with the Mavs Dancers. Participants will enjoy the Dallas Mavericks vs. Portland Trailblazers game, post game free throw shot on Mavs court and a Girl Scout Mavs patch.

Girl Scouts at Safety City

Join the staff at Safety City as they touch on all sorts of safety topics, from stranger awareness to when to call 9-1-1. Girls will get to take part in classroom demonstrations and a walk around mini city.  Girls will fulfill steps 1 and 2 for the Brownie First Aid badge. Safety City requires that all participants fill out a release form, which will be emailed as registrations are received. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and weather appropriate clothing.

Call for Artists!

Girl Scouts are hosting their 2nd community art exhibit. All works of art will be on display at the Underwood Center for the Arts Icehouse during the March 6th First Friday Art Trial. Help us fill up the gallery! Girls and Adults are encouraged to create works of art that represent their favorite part of Girl Scouting! Girls can use this activity to earn their Legacy Artist badges. This can be an activity you do with your troop, on your own or with the help of family members. Painting, drawings, sculptures, photos, collages and more are accepted. 

CPR/AED/First Aid Training

This training is offering CPR/AED and First Aid certification through the American Heart Association.  The certification is good for 2 years but you must attend both the Monday & Tuesday sessions to become certified.
