Pink Connection Signature Program

Pink Connection honors the founder of Girl Scouting, Juliette Low, who died of breast cancer.  This program provides opportunities for girls to discover ways to stay healthy and an awareness of early detection while providing service to breast cancer survivors in their communities.  It is a natural link between the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation and the women of tomorrow. Pink Connection activities are offered throughout the year.

Service Opportunities (All Ages) (Council Wide)
This program allows all Girl Scouts a variety of service opportunities throughout the year, benefiting the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. Annual activities have included: Save the Pink Lids collection drive; assisting on Race Day; any additional activities that Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation asks for help with.

Think Pink Bracelet Project (Juniors and up) (Abilene, Fort Worth, Wichita Falls Regions)
Girl Scouts come together to make bracelets, donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure- Tarrant County or Wichita Falls Affiliates to include in survivor goody bags, or are distributed by girls individually the day of the race. The bracelets are assembled by Girl Scouts and packaged in small clear bags.  One side of the bag tells the story of Juliette Low.  The other side is a message of encouragement from the girl who made the bracelet to the recipient.
