GS-TOP has launched a new Service of the Month campaign. Key service opportunities providing leaders with ideas and resources for troop service projects. Focus areas will include Literacy, Science, Technology and Math, and the Environment.
October highlighted Healthy Living through Pink Connection Breast Cancer Awareness programs. In November, girls focused on Honoring our Nations Veterans. In December, girls learned about safety and celebrated Safe Toys and Gifts Month. In January, girls celebrated MLK day and gave food to food shelters to help counteract declining donation rates after the holiday season.

Celebrate Girl Scout Week
March 7 - 13
Celebrate the entire week! Girl Scout Week starts with Girl Scout Sunday and ends with Girl Scout Sabbath on a Saturday. Girl Scout Sunday, March 7, and Girl Scout Sabbath, March 13, give girls an opportunity to attend their place of worship and be recognized as a Girl Scout. Women's History Month
This year, the theme for March 2010 is Writing Women Back into History. 2010 celebrates the 30th Anniversary for Women's History Month.
Scholarship Opportunities
Girl Scout Scholarship Applications Available Soon
GS-TOP offers a scholarship to graduating Girl Scouts. Applications will be mailed directly to graduating girls. Let the girls know to watch for the scholarship letter due to arrive in March.World Thinking Day 2010
Each year on February 22, girls participate in activities, games and projects with global themes to honor their sister Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in other countries.
The theme for World Thinking Day 2010 was girls worldwide say "together we can end extreme poverty and hunger."
Girl University
Saturday, March 6, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Girl University is a one-day conference for girls in 8th through 12th grades and their parents, and is designed to help you get an early start when planning for life after high school. It is an opportunity for you and your parents to come together with professionals to find answers in a fun and informative way.
Green Corner
This month, connect to your inner green! March 1 is a very important birthday - Yellowstone National Park is celebrating 138 years. Yellowstone is the first national park, and started a tradition of parks and wildlife preserves that has kept many parts of our nation "wild" for future generations to enjoy.
Pink Connection Signature Program
Pink Connection honors the founder of Girl Scouting, Juliette Low, who died of breast cancer. This program provides opportunities for girls to discover ways to stay healthy and an awareness of early detection while providing service to breast cancer survivors in their communities. It is a natural link between the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation and the women of tomorrow. Pink Connection activities are offered throughout the year.
New KaBoom! Patch Program
Troops or individual girls 14 and up can earn this patch by locating fun, safe play space for kids to play and exercise.

Girl Scout destinations can whisk you to the far corners of the world where you will meet remarkable girls, develop leadership skills, gain confidence, and enjoy valuable learning opportunities.
