An overnight camping event for all age level girls to learn the Basic 8 Outdoor skills, play games, and have fun in the out of doors with friends. Daisy & Brownie Girl Scouts will sleep in the troop house and Juniors & up will bring tents to sleep in. Everyone will have lots of fun!!
At this overnight class participants will learn fire building safety, menu & activity planning, proper care of equipment, knots and basic concept of Leave No Trace principles. All participants must have taken Outdoor 101.
This course is the prerequisite for all outdoor classes. It provides participants with the basic knowledge required to take girls camping at both council and non-council facilities. Participants will learn council policies, procedures, proper dress, and camp rules.
This course is an introduction to camping and the out of doors. It covers the basic outdoor skills and Leave No Trace principles, as well as how to prepare to go camping.
Learn how to put up, storm lash, take down and choose tents. Also learn where to camp other than Council facilities. You will also have the opportunity to experiment with various types of tents.
Your knight can be any male relative or a male family friend age 21 or over. This is a 2 hour course in which participants will learn the ins and outs of tent camping. It is suggested that you take your troop or group Cabin Camping at least once before you move on to tent camping. Outdoor 101 and Cabin camping are prerequisites for this course.
Having trouble with Journeys? Do your girls complain they are boring, no fun, too much like school? Learn how to make Journeys fun, hand on, girl led and exciting. This is a training offered as part of Super Saturday of Training. You can come and take one class or stay for the day.

This course if for girls who want to become either a Program Aide (Cadettes) or a Volunteer In Training (Seniors and Ambassadors). Being a PA and/or VIT, is the perfect way to gain those leadership skills. Once you become a PA or VIT, you will be able to mentor younger Girl Scouts by sharing your skills, passions, and experience.
We will also offer special program for registered Girl Scout daughters of volunteers attending training.
