Volunteer in Training - Teen Mentoring Award
Become an outstanding role model and event planner for younger Girl Scouts
When girls guide or teach others, they act as mentors. Teen mentoring is a win-win proposition! One way a girl can be a teen mentor is to become a Volunteer in Training to deepen her understanding of what leadership development means and get excited about guiding others. While learning to be a champion mentor, girls deliver fun with purpose to younger Girl Scouts. Girls will learn the skills it takes to plan and provide a whole Girl Scout event for younger girls.
- Girls must have mentored with a younger troop for a 3-6 month period before atteneding this class.
- Will need to bring a sack lunch and pen or pencil
