Volunteer Retreat + Cabin Camping - Abilene Area
This is the overnight class needed before you can take your troop camping. We are offering it in conjunction with the Volunteer Retreat Overnight!
This is the start to an amazing year with Girl Scouts! You will enjoy fabulous workshops which prior attendees have suggested while also getting the chance to participate in sessions full of engaging activities and the chance to just relax. Workshops include long awaited topics such as: Keeping Girls Interested and Building Troop Family Support. In this overnight course, participants will learn fire building safety, menu & activity planning, proper care of equipment, knots and the basic concept of Leave No Trace. You must have completed Outdoor 101.
Register in one of these three ways to attend the Volunteer Retreat:
Saturday Only: This is a separate registration option for those who only want to attend the day portion of the retreat. Saturday 10am-4pm. Includes: lunch and day workshops.
Overnight: This option is for those who would like to stay overnight at camp and continue the fun with canvas painting and other social activities, as well as a Service Unit Planning Breakfast the next morning. Saturday Morning through Sunday morning. Includes: Saturday workshops and night activities, Saturday lunch, dinner and Sunday breakfast.
Overnight + Cabin Camping: If you need Cabin Camping certification, we are offering it at a discounted price as part of the retreat! Saturday Morning through Sunday noon. All overnight Included as well as cabin camping training and materials.
