GSTOP Astronomy Club Spring Trip
Explore the stars with GSTOP and GSNETX Astronomy Clubs this Spring Break! Whether you are interested in astronomy, astrophotography, science or nature, the Comanche Springs Astronomy Campus of 3RF has something fun and interesting to offer you. There are a variety of great hands-on activities available, including star gazing, hiking, bird watching, science and nature programs, and more! 3RF is located in an amazing dark sky area and you’ll be able to see so much more than in your back yard.
There are several Dobsonians (two 20" and one 18") that will be rolled out onto outdoor pads for Girl Scouts to use themselves. Additionally, 3RF Volunteer Staff will guide Girl Scouts in using two large observatories!
Girls will earn their Night Owl and Sky badges during this trip.
Over the next few weeks, Girl Scout staff and volunteers will be working with 3RF to develop a fantastic Spring Trip tailored to our Astronomy Club interests. Learn more about 3RF at www.3RF.org.
