Stevens Ranch

Stevens Ranch on the Brazos, near Glen Rose, is open to girls entering grades 2 - 12. Stevens Ranch was first acquired by Circle T Council in 1967, and records of the property date back to 1842. The historic farm house was built around 1936 and restored in 1974 and again in 1981. Two large oaks on the west side of the farm house were examined by a Glen Rose geologist and found to be 100 and 300 years old.

The camp specializes in horseback riding, archery, swimming, crafts, and more. Girls will stay in cabins, platform tents, bunkhouses or two person tent units. Girls eat most of their meals in the dining hall, which has soaring ceilings and award-winning camp architecture.

“Stevens is my second home, I love everything about it. Being in the outdoors, nature adventures, and meeting new people. I believe if you spend any time there you will feel the same way!”

“Stevens Ranch has that camp ‘magic’ that comes into the air sometime between sunset and twilight, and lingers long past the time that you’ve left camp. I still feel the same magic now that I felt as a camper. Camp is such a powerful thing for girls and even staff - no matter how long you’ve been coming to camp, you will always leave a little bit better than you were before.”

The following are answers to some frequently asked questions that came up at our member forums this fall. To get a preview of summer sessions offered at our resident camps this summer, visit www.gs-top.org/events, select “resident camp” under type, and then you can browse all of our camp sessions for the summer of 2013. We hope this helps you with your summer planning, and we look forward to sharing a great outdoor experience with you this summer!
