Nestled in a secret canyon approximately five miles northwest of Amarillo in the Texas Panhandle you will find Girl Scout Camp Kiwanis. The 381 acre Camp Kiwanis (originally named Camp Amaryllis) was purchased by Amarillo Council in 1928.
Facilities include a dining hall, swimming pool, stone and wooden cabins and hot showers. All cabins are air-conditioned. Girls can choose from a variety of session lengths. Activities may include swimming, horseback riding, ropes and challenge course, archery, cookouts, hiking, arts and crafts, sports, star-gazing and all camp parties.
All girls, first grade and older, may attend Girl Scout Camp Kiwanis simply by joining Girl Scouts for a $12.00 membership fee and paying the selected session camp fee.
Girls get fresh air, lots of exercise, make new friends and learn to enjoy the “out of doors”. No couch potatoes at camp.
Come join us for a fun summertime experience. Camp guides, with descriptions of all sessions, are available from the Amarillo Regional office:

“I grew up attending Girl Scout Camps and then became a counselor. This will be my 31st summer as director for Girl Scout Camp Kiwanis. I love the outdoors and love introducing our girls to the wonders of nature and having fun. I want all girls to have wonderful memories to remember all of their lives.”
