Girl Scouts Town Hall Meeting - Monday, May 20, 2013
7 – 8 pm at Camp Boothe Oaks (Dining Hall) This meeting will provide information about the camp property decisions and a great opportunity for your feedback.
Last fall the council announced the property decision made by the Board of Directors. Council leadership is coming to the Abilene area to host a Town Hall meeting to bring membership up-to-date on these decisions:
Girl Scouts Town Hall Meeting
Monday, May 20, 7 – 8 pm
Camp Boothe Oaks (Dining Hall)
Property decisions include:
- Camp Boothe Oaks remains a troop/group property and is available year round for girl, adult and community activities.
- The Board of Directors approved focusing resources to develop two premier properties: Stevens Ranch and Camp Rio Blanco creating “high quality outdoor programs and facilities for girls”.
- Camp Kiwanis has been opened for troop/group camping. Summer Resident Camp will continue (for the next 2 years) through 2014. After that, Camp Kiwanis will be open nearly 365 days/year for troop/group camping and other outdoor activities.
