The Fort Worth chapter of the Alumnae Association recently held their Annual Celebration and Business Meeting. During the event, members elected officers, celebrated the alumnae events of the past year and raised funds for the annual Gold Award Pin Drive. The celebration also featured guest speaker, Libby Watson, who spoke about the Girl Scout Handshake Project.

Our Troop works hard during Cookie Selling season to sell as many cookies as we can so we can build our Troop Profits up to fund our Take Action Projects through the year.

Last year, our Troop spent $400 putting a Shade Garden in at the Church that our Troop meets at.  The church has had a hard time getting any plants to grow in the very shady location on the side of the church.  The garden area is under many trees so hardly any light gets to the garden area.  Before we got started...

      I am a #cookieboss. I know my customers' favorite cookies, from the policeman around the corner to the lady across town. One of  my neighbors is a sucker for both of the peanut butter cookies. Another customer uses Lemonades as crust for a cheesecake. Who would have thought of that?!

     Someone down the street orders Thin Mints every year, so I save him a box or two. My dad gets Thanks A Lots and puts a marshmallow on it so it's like a smore. They're very good. The family...

The Girl Scouts annual Women of Distinction program brings together and recognizes a group of purpose-driven, women leaders in business, government and philanthropy; who, like our girls, are dedicated to service and leadership.  Honorees do not need to be previous Girl Scouts, however a connection to Girl Scouts is recommended.

Join us for the 2015 Annual Council Meeting on January 31, 2015 .  During this yearly meeting, our Girl Scout delegates elect new Board Development Committee members, new members of the GS-TOP Board of Directors, and this year delegates will approve new bylaws for GS-TOP.  This year's Annual Meeting will feature a keynote speech by former GSUSA Board Treasurer, Joan Wagnon.
