Bronze and Silver Workshop

The highest awards in Girl Scouting are named after precious metals. Juniors earn the Bronze Award and Cadettes earn the Silver Award. This workshop reviews Girl Scouts USA guidelines for each award. Both girls and leaders are encouraged to attend the workshop, which will include topics on how to lead girls through the requirements, building a timeline, selecting projects and the required paperwork.

Night Owls Overnight at Camp Rio Blanco

Come to camp and learn about the sights and sounds of the night. This is a great activity for a new camper so bring a friend! Girl Scout Cadettes will work on requirements needed to earn the Night Owl Badge.

Girl Scout Day at Lockheed Martin

Come spend the day with women engineers.  Learn about all the possible ways you can enjoy a career in Aerospace.   Jobs you may know like engineering and computer science to jobs you may not know about like design and psychology.  Lunch will be provided.

Gold Award Gala

The Girl Scout Gold Award represents the highest achievement in Girl Scouting; it recognizes girls in grades 9 through 12 who demonstrate extraordinary leadership through sustainable and measurable Take Action projects. Since 1916, girls have successfully answered the call to Go Gold, an act that indelibly marks them as accomplished members of their communities and the world. Your ticket purchase to this event supports our Girl Scouts that make the world a better place.

Note: Girls who are being recognized at this year's Gold Award Gala, do not need to register.

STEMfest! Lubbock

Join Texas Tech and Girl Scouts for an all-day event. Girls from across the area are invited to Texas Tech for a one of a kind workshop extravaganza... all about STEM! Mix and match workshops from our fun menu of hands-on sessions, meet STEM professionals and explore all things STEM! Lunch will be provided and all girls will receive a free t-shirt!

He and Me Overnight at Camp Rio Blanco

Girls will experience all the fun of camp with their adult "He" (a registered Girl Scout dad, uncle, stepdad, brother, etc.) They'll discover nature and enjoy team building and arts activities, campfires, skits and hearty meals.  Sleeping accomodations are chosen when participants arrive at camp and are limited.  Groups are encouraged to bring their own personal tents if they prefer.  All "He's" must become current members of Girl Scouting.

Fear Factor Camp at CBO

Compete on teams in wild adventure challenges while also enjoying some traditional camp activities at our weekend camp. Games will be age appropriate but girls must come prepared to get dirty. Second year Cadettes and older will serve as aides for part of the weekend. Each girl will receive a t-shirt, age level badge (TBD), and a funpatch. Meals and snacks will be provided. (Daisies can join the fun by registering for the Fear Factor Daisy Day Camp.)

Journey In A Day - MEdia - It's Your - Story Tell It!

Cadettes put the “me” in MEdia as this journey encourages them to explore the great, big multi-media world around them and then remake media to better match the reality they know. Along the way, Cadettes become aware of the value of media, its limitations and effect, and the power they have to lead and inspire others. 

CARE-Celebration and Recognition Event--Amarillo

Please join us in recognizing our volunteers at our annual Celebration and Recongnition Event (C.A.R.E.) on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 10:00AM-12:00PM.  We will highlight our volunteers who continuously support and give their time to the Girl Scouts.  The celebration will take place in the Great Hall at Camp Kiwanis where brunch will be served.  We hope to see you there!    



Babysitting Course

Do you know how to calm a crying baby? Or how to handle a conflict between two children? How about what to do if a child has a tummy ache?

Designed for students ages 11 and older, this course provides the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly care for infants and children up to the age of 10, as well as to manage a babysitting business.
