Challenge the Ropes

It's all about the thrill that girls will want to experience- climbing the rock wall, walking the high cat walk and zipping through the air.  These challenges are "challenge by choice".   This afternoon of experiences gives girls (and leaders too) a sense of "I did it", a feeling of " I can do anything" and a grand sense of accomplishment.  The whole group learns to work together to make success happen for everyone.  Creates an atmosphere of teamwork.

Family Fun Day - Open House

You are invited to bring the family and come and see what opportunites are coming up in Girl Scouting this year.  The shop will be open, there will be activities for the kids and you will be the first to see new fall products.

STEMfest! Lubbock

Join Texas Tech and Girl Scouts for an all-day event. Girls from across the area are invited to Texas Tech for a one of a kind workshop extravaganza... all about STEM! Mix and match workshops from our fun menu of hands-on sessions, meet STEM professionals and explore all things STEM! Lunch will be provided and all girls will receive a free t-shirt!

Higher Award Training - Silver

Start here to begin earning the Girl Scout's highest awards! This workshop reviews GSUSA guidelines for each award. Both girls and leaders are encouraged to attend the workshop. Topics include how to lead girls through the requirements, building a timeline, selecting projects and the required paperwork.

Program Aide- Teen Mentoring Training

When girls guide or teach others, they act as mentors. Teen mentoring is a win-win proposition! One way a girl can be a teen mentor is to become a Program Aide (PA) to deepen her understanding of what leadership means and get excited about guiding others. While learning to be a champion mentor, girls deliver FUN with purpose to younger Girl Scouts. Note: Before girls attend this course, they must have earned the Leader-in-Action (LiA) award.

Race for the Cure - Community Service

We have a limited number of volunteer opportunities for Brownie - Ambassador Troops. We need troops to distribute bracelets to the Survivors at the Survivor Breakfast. Work at the Girl Scout booth and hand out bracelets and Girl Scout Cookies or be a CUREleader squad. All volunteers’ spaces are first come first serve.  If you or your troop are interested in helping with the Girl Scout positions at Race for the Cure, please register and you will be contacted with more details regarding each volunteer position.

Trinity Trash Bash

It is that time of year again for the Tarrant Regional Water District to call on volunteers to help clean up the Trinity River. Bring your family, your troop, or both to tackle trash at one of 10 locations across Fort Worth. After your troop has left a little bit of the Trinity River better than you found it, celebrate at one of two rockin’ after parties! The first is at Cobb Park located at 2700 Cobb Park Drive, with a free lunch, water, and giveaways.

Family Fun Day with Girl Scouts

Stop by for a few minutes or a few hours.  Invite non-Girl Scout friends to come and explore all that Girl Scouts has to offer.  Share Girl Scouts with your family.  Inside, rain or shine, the shop will be open and offer tax free shopping.  This is also the last day to use cookie bucks.  There will also be displays on council offerings such vintage uniforms, camps, trainings, product sales, the new Outdoor Badges, etc.  For leaders, our community partners will be here with information on troop activities.  Outside, weather permitting, we will have lots of hands on activities for the whole f
