Mom and Me

Grab your mom (or grandma or aunt) and head out to Camp Kiwanis to have some fun together.  Activities will include crafts, folk dancing, swimming and a campfire.  Participants will sleep in cabins.  This is the perfect experience to prepare girls for resident camp.  No physical or health history is needed.  Be sure to list names of both mom and daughter(s) on registration form.

Gold Award Gala

The Girl Scout Gold Award represents the highest achievement in Girl Scouting; it recognizes girls in grades 9 through 12 who demonstrate extraordinary leadership through sustainable and measurable Take Action projects. Since 1916, girls have successfully answered the call to Go Gold, an act that indelibly marks them as accomplished members of their communities and the world. Your ticket purchase to this event supports our Girl Scouts that make the world a better place.

Note: Girls who are being recognized at this year's Gold Award Gala, do not need to register.

Fear Factor Daisy Day Camp

Compete on teams in wild adventure challenges while also enjoying some traditional camp activities. Games will be age appropriate but girls must come prepared to get dirty. Daisies may attend as a troop (adult to girl ratios must be met) or individually with an adult. Each girl and adult will receive a t-shirt and Daisies will also receive a fun patch. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

CARE-Celebration and Recognition Event--Amarillo

Please join us in recognizing our volunteers at our annual Celebration and Recongnition Event (C.A.R.E.) on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 10:00AM-12:00PM.  We will highlight our volunteers who continuously support and give their time to the Girl Scouts.  The celebration will take place in the Great Hall at Camp Kiwanis where brunch will be served.  We hope to see you there!    

  

 

2015 Scout Weekend with the Texas Rangers

Enjoy the annual Girl Scout Day with the best baseball team around - The Texas Rangers!  Spend this Sunday with your friends and family and enjoy lots of wacky baseball fun.  Girl Scouts receive a cool Texas Rangers patch plus $2 of every ticket bought through Girl Scout families and friends will be donated to Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains.  A day of fun plus a way to give back!  An added bonus is Girl Scouts can participate in the pre-game parade around the field but you must arrive no later than 12:45 p.m.

2015 Girl Scout Night with the Texas Rangers and Sleepover

Spend Friday night with your friends and family cheering on the best baseball team around: The Texas Rangers!

Scouts and their families can enjoy a game and fireworks Friday night.  After the game, there is an option for troops to stick around and enjoy the first ever Texas Rangers Girl Scout Sleepover on the field.  Girl Scouts will need to purchase a ticket for the baseball game and also register separately for the sleepover for an extra fee.  The attached form MUST be used to purchase Texas Ranger Tickets.

Twilight Camp Trail Lake- Mysteries of Nature

How do animals, insects and plants tell time?  Or predict the weather?  Mother Nature is full of mysteries and this camp will help girls see the world with new eyes.
