Log Cabin Village Fall Events

Log Cabin Village is an excellent place for troop or individual field trips.  Here is a list of Fall/Winter Events.  For more information and reservations, contact Log Cabin Village directly.

Family Fun Fest

Inside we will have information on the new Outdoor Badges, our camp facilities, what's new for this year Fall Product Sale and the upcoming cookie sale, learn about Girl Scout History, and find out ways adults can volunteer.  Our shop will also be open with special deals and for leaders we will have Community Partners here showcasing what they have to offer troops in the coming year.    We will also have a registration station set up with staff on hand to help you re-register or register for the first time.

Gold Award Training

First, think about how you want to change the world - or at least your corner of it. What would be awesome to do?

Do you want to teach your friends how to sew then mobilize your community to make pillow-case dresses for children in Africa? Plant an eco-friendly, educational garden at your school? Create a reading program for elementary kids? Because your Gold Award project is your idea and something you care about, there’ll be nothing else like it—and that’s pretty cool.

Night Owls Overnight at Camp Rio Blanco

Come to camp and learn about the sights and sounds of the night. This is a great activity for a new camper so bring a friend! Girl Scout Cadettes will work on requirements needed to earn the Night Owl Badge.

$20 for members

$30 for non-members

Girl Scout Day at Lockheed Martin

Come spend the day with women engineers.  Learn about all the possible ways you can enjoy a career in Aerospace.   Jobs you may know like engineering and computer science to jobs you may not know about like design and psychology.  Lunch will be provided.

You can use your cookie bucks on this event.

*** I need 2 adults to chaperone this event.  If you are interested in attending this event with your daughter, please contact Dana Cozby at dcozby@gs-top.org.

Gold Award Gala

The Girl Scout Gold Award represents the highest achievement in Girl Scouting; it recognizes girls in grades 9 through 12 who demonstrate extraordinary leadership through sustainable and measurable Take Action projects. Since 1916, girls have successfully answered the call to Go Gold, an act that indelibly marks them as accomplished members of their communities and the world. Your ticket purchase to this event supports our Girl Scouts that make the world a better place.

Note: Girls who are being recognized at this year's Gold Award Gala, do not need to register.

He and Me Overnight at Camp Rio Blanco

Girls will experience all the fun of camp with their adult "He" (a registered Girl Scout dad, uncle, stepdad, brother, etc.) They'll discover nature and enjoy team building and arts activities, campfires, skits and hearty meals.  Sleeping accomodations are chosen when participants arrive at camp and are limited.  Groups are encouraged to bring their own personal tents if they prefer.  All "He's" must become current members of Girl Scouting.

Non-Members please call 806-745-2855 to register.

Fear Factor Camp at CBO

Compete on teams in wild adventure challenges while also enjoying some traditional camp activities at our weekend camp. Games will be age appropriate but girls must come prepared to get dirty. Second year Cadettes and older will serve as aides for part of the weekend. Each girl will receive a t-shirt, age level badge (TBD), and a funpatch. Meals and snacks will be provided. (Daisies can join the fun by registering for the Fear Factor Daisy Day Camp.)

Journey In A Day - BLISS Live It! Give It! - It's Your Story - Tell It!

In this journey, Ambassadors dream big, now and for the future, while encouraging others to dream big, too. They explore their values, strengths, and passions as a way to open doors to wonderful new adventures. Designed as a flip-book, Bliss: Live It! inspires girls to pursue their dreams while Bliss: Give It! encourages girls to assist others in pursuing theirs.
